Appointed by the Irish Episcopal Conference in October 2013, Fr Dwayne Gavin has officially begun his ministry on January 1, 2014 as Chaplain to the Irish Community in Paris.
Fr Dwayne, a native of Kells, Co. Meath, studied for the priesthood at St. Patrick’s College, Maynooth and the Irish College, Rome. Ordained priest in 2000, he has spent 13 years as a curate in Navan, Co. Meath. He is currently pursuing studies in Biblical Theology at the Institut Catholique de Paris.
His first official Mass (Feast of the Epiphany) will be at 11h30 on January 5, 2014. Please come along on that day to wish him well as he begins his ministry here in Paris. Mass will be followed by the Galette des Rois.
