Notices for September 14, 2013

Dear Friends
I hope that life is beginning to settle for everyone after a refreshing summer break. Autumn seems to have begun and we look forward to the events that will take place between now and the end of the year.
Advent Carol Service practices will begin soon. The practices will take place after Mass on the following Sundays:
October 6, 13, 20
November 10, 17, 24
December 1, 8.
I hope that those who want to be involved in the choir for the Advent Service might be able to make those practices.
On October 13, we will welcome the Navan Male Voice Choir. They will join us for Mass at which they will sing. Everyone is welcome to come along and to meet and hear them.
On November 3, we will remember all our Dead and all those whose memory is in the care of our community. After Mass we will visit the Syrian Church on the rue des Carmes (site of the old Irish College), where we will pray for those who are buried there.
On November 6 (Wednesday), there will be Mass at 12hoo in the Chapel for the Feast of All the Saints of Ireland.
On November 27 at 20h00, there will be a talk in St Joseph’s Church on the Gospel of Matthew as a preparation for the new liturgical year, during which we will read from this Gospel.
The Advent Carol Service will take place on Saturday, December 14 at 17h00. Doors to the Chapel will open at 16h45. After the Carols, there will be refreshments and the Sharing Fair with crafts available for sale in aid of the Justice Projects of the Good Shepherd Sisters.
There will be Mass on Christmas Day as usual at 11h30. Mass each Sunday (including 29 December) will be at 11h30.
I hope that you will feel welcome to these events.
God bless!
Sean
