As autumn spreads a very beautiful coloured cloak over the city, I hope you have time to appreciate this special season before the evenings shorten into that winter darkness.
In addition to the events already publicized, and in addition to our Sunday Mass at 11h30 each Sunday, I would like to draw your attention to two more important events over the next few weeks.
Next Saturday, 20 October at 16h30, there will be a concert in Eglise Saint Philippe de Roule, 9 rue de Courcelles, 75008 Paris. This will be a concert to celebrate the universality of the Church at the end of Mission Week. Different national chaplaincies and parishes have been invited to participate. Our music group will be among them. It should prove to be a beautiful and colourful occasion with a chance to appreciate the musical traditions of many different cultures. If you are free, please come to support our music group!
This year, an Irish delegation will be present at the Semaine Sociale de France, which will take place over the week-end of the 23-25 November. There is an impressive selection of speakers and conferences. A delegation will be travelling from Ireland with Bishop Noel Treanor. Irish people resident in Paris are very welcome to join the Irish delegation. Anyone interested in participating might make contact with me soon, so that we might be able to make practical arrangements for reservations as soon as possible.
Once again, thanks to you all for your continued support of Chaplaincy projects. As always, everyone is welcome to our celebration of the Eucharist each Sunday at 11h30.
