Dear Friends:

Thanks for the support and good wishes so far into this new academic year. I hope we can continue to support one another in friendship and prayer throughout this time.

There will be a number of events over the next few weeks. Everyone will be welcome to participate!

Mass every Sunday at 11h30, except 9 December when, due to the Advent Service, it will be at 15h.

29 September: Autumn Seminar

In conjunction with St Joseph’s Parish, the Chaplaincy will host a seminar in preparation for the Year of Faith. Fr Billy Swan from Enniscorthy will present this seminar. It will be held in St Joseph’s Parish, Avenue Hoche. The seminar will begin with a talk at 14h, followed by a discussion group, followed by a moment of prayer. Participants are welcome to join in the 18h30 Mass afterwards).

4 November: Memory of the Deceased

The 11h30 Mass will be a celebration of All the Saints of Ireland. In addition we will remember all our deceased loved ones. We will visit the Crypt of the Eglise Saint Ephrem, site of the oldest Irish graves, and pray for all our deceased relatives and friends.

28 November: Reflection Evening on the Gospel of Luke

This will be held in conjunction with St Joseph’s and in the Parish Hall on Avenue Hoche. I will present some keys to guide our reading of the Gospel of Luke throughout the coming Liturgical Year.

9 December: Advent Carols

Mass will be at 15h00, Carols at 17h00. Following the Carols, there will be seasonal refreshments. The Sisters of the Good Shepherd will hold a Sharing Fair, offering crafts from their self-help projects in many different countries.

16 December: Carols in St Joseph’s, Avenue Hoche

Christmas Day: Mass will be at 11h30 on Christmas Day, as usual.

Please remember that our main event for this year, again organized in conjunction with St Joseph’s, will be

The Irish pilgrimage to Notre Dame de Paris will be on 16 March 2013 at 12h00.

This will be our main celebration for St Patrick’s Day this year. Everyone will be welcome!
