Our celebration for St Patrick’s Day this year will be held in our local Parish Church, Saint Etienne du Mont on Sunday 18 March at 16h00. I hope that you can join us for this celebration of our faith and and culture.
As always, there will be a reception back in the College after the Mass. We would be very grateful if some people could volunteer to help with the preparation, serving and tidy-up afterwards. Some people will be needed from early morning and the tidy-up will last after others have gone, but if you can help with any part or all of this, we would be most grateful. As we anticipate about 350 guests, we need as much help as possible!
Our liturgy will be animated by a choir from Limerick, An Cor. We are very glad to have them with us and we appreciate their kindness in travellling to Paris for this occasion. They have also volunteered to sing some Irish melodies at the reception and then to join us in the Chapel for our final prayers at c.19h30.
On St Patrick’s Day (Sturday 17 March) there will be Mass in St Joseph’s Church, Avenue Hoche at 11h00, followed by a reception there. Fr Aidan would like everyone to know that there will be a welcome for everyone in St Jospeh’s on the day itself.
Between the different celebrations, I hope that we can make that week-end a wonderful occasion to remember our homeland and to celebrate the rich legacy that we have inherited.
